Pothos 'Silver Streak Variegated'
Pothos 'Silver Streak Variegated'
Epipremnum aureum ‘Silver Streak Variegated’ Pothos
Description:
A striking trailing houseplant with narrow, elongated green leaves highlighted by silvery-gray streaks and subtle variegation. The foliage has a smooth, slightly glossy texture, and the silver markings become more pronounced in brighter light. It has a graceful vining habit, making it ideal for shelves, hanging baskets, or climbing supports. This variety offers a more refined, slender leaf shape compared to traditional pothos while keeping the same hardy, beginner-friendly nature.
Care:
Thrives in bright, indirect light to maintain strong variegation but tolerates medium light. Water when the top portion of soil is slightly dry. Use a well-draining potting mix and avoid letting the plant sit in standing water. Can be trimmed to encourage fuller growth or allowed to trail long.
Pet Safety:
Not pet safe. Like other Epipremnum (Pothos) varieties, it contains insoluble calcium oxalate crystals that can cause oral irritation, drooling, vomiting, and difficulty swallowing if chewed or ingested by cats or dogs. Keep out of reach of pets and small children.
Air Purification Properties:
Pothos plants are often associated with indoor air quality support based on controlled plant research environments. In typical home settings, they may contribute modestly to overall air freshness but should be considered a supplement to proper ventilation and air filtration rather than a primary air purifier.
