Philodendron 'Florida Ghost'
Philodendron 'Florida Ghost'
Philodendron Pedatum ‘Florida Ghost’
A dramatic, tropical houseplant prized for its striking, lobed foliage. Philodendron ‘Florida Ghost’ is known for its uniquely shaped leaves that emerge almost white and gradually mature to a soft green, giving the plant a “ghostly” appearance that stands out in any indoor jungle.
Appearance
The large, deeply lobed leaves start pale cream or white and develop shades of green as they mature. Its architectural, upright growth habit makes it a bold statement piece for living rooms, offices, or plant collections.
Light
Thrives in bright, indirect light. Partial shade is tolerated, but too little light can slow growth and reduce the striking color of new leaves. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the foliage.
Water
Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy. Allow the top inch of soil to dry between waterings. It prefers a well-draining potting mix to prevent root rot.
Temperature & Environment
Prefers warm, humid conditions typical of tropical environments. Protect from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
Growth Habit
A vigorous, climbing or upright plant that can develop long petioles and large leaves over time. Support with a moss pole or trellis to encourage vertical growth.
Pet & Human Safety
Contains calcium oxalates and is toxic if ingested by pets or humans. Handle with care, especially around children and animals
