Cyclamen 'Red'
Cyclamen 'Red'
The Alpine Violet, or Cyclamen persicum, is a charming, compact flowering plant prized for its delicate, upswept blooms and attractive heart-shaped foliage. Flowers appear in shades of pink, red, white, and variegated patterns, often lasting for several weeks, bringing a cheerful burst of color to indoor spaces during cooler months. Its dark green leaves, often patterned with silver marbling, add a decorative touch even when the plant is not in bloom.
Cyclamen thrives in bright, indirect light and prefers cooler indoor temperatures, ideally between 60–70°F during the day and slightly cooler at night. Keep the soil evenly moist but avoid waterlogging, and water from the base when possible to prevent tuber rot. During its dormant period in summer, reduce watering and allow the plant to rest until new growth emerges.
Perfect for windowsills, desks, or seasonal displays, the Alpine Violet adds elegance and charm with its long-lasting flowers and ornamental foliage.
Pet Safety: Not pet safe. Cyclamen contains compounds that are toxic to cats and dogs if ingested, potentially causing vomiting, diarrhea, and other symptoms.
