Euphorbia obesa - Baseball Plant
Euphorbia obesa - Baseball Plant
Euphorbia obesa, often called the “Baseball Plant,” is a rare and highly sought-after succulent prized for its unique, perfectly rounded form. Native to South Africa, this slow-growing species resembles a green-gray ball marked with faint vertical striping and subtle ridges, giving it a sculptural, almost geometric appearance. Over time, it may elongate slightly and, in mature plants, produce small clusters of tiny, delicate flowers at the crown.
Easy to care for, Euphorbia obesa thrives in bright light and well-draining soil, requiring minimal water thanks to its drought tolerance. Its compact size makes it ideal for windowsills, desks, or collector’s displays.
Pet Safety: Like other Euphorbia, it contains a toxic latex sap and should be kept out of reach of pets and children.
